The Haute-Savoie Departmental Council owns a number of key sites and an exceptional collection of art pieces, it pursues an ambitious policy in favor of historical heritage: opening sites to the public, restoration and conservation, archaeological operations. The Haute-Savoie Departmental Council is deeply attached to the duty of remembrance linked to the Second World War, and is carrying out a number of initiatives in this direction, including the exhibition Célébrer l’Esprit des Glières, produced in partnership with the Association des Glières to mark the 50th anniversary of the Monument national à la Résistance on the plateau des Glières. The exhibition presents the exemplarity of the Resistance men and women, as well as the artistic process led by the sculptor Émilie Gilioli to create the Monument National à la Résistance. The design of the visuals was meant to represent the timeline of the History itself, and the little character of the catalog is here to help and teach children in understanding such important heritage.
